Matt Nitzberg has trained dogs and their handlers for over 14 years. During that time he has worked with law enforcement K9 units for maintenance training in patrol, narcotics, explosives and tracking.
As a youth, Matt's parents gave his family the gift of growing up with dogs. In his adult life, Matt was fortunate to receive another gift when he met his dog training mentor, Marv Gangloff. Marv has shared with Matt over 40 years of knowledge and experience in obedience, behavior, and the difference between the two.
Matt's goal for the PDXK9 client is to educate the handler how to guide their dog as opposed to Matt “fixing” the dog for the client.
Many dogs have the potential to learn from and respond to the guidance of their handlers. The key is the amount of time, effort and consistency required by each handler to achieve a strong relationship.
Coupon provided to Matt's family in 1975 for their second Doberman, Sam.
